Job Purpose Please note: Interviews are to take place on 12th and 13th February 2025 at Cadent's Blackpool depot. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with our Compliance Specialist to support the Safety & Compliance Manager. Your mission? To ensure Cadent meets all the critical processes that underpin our Safety Case and License to Operate. You'll be at the heart of our operations, conducting site-based inspections and working alongside both Cadent's direct operatives and our trusted contract partners. This is your chance to make a real impact and help us maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance. Experience in core operational processes, either upstream or downstream activities, is required to be considered for this role. Key Responsibilities Join a Network-Based Team : Become an integral part of a dedicated team of Compliance Officers who are committed to ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance across Cadent's operations. Conduct Quality Assurance Inspections : Play a crucial role in performing thorough quality assurance inspections on Cadent's activities and those of our contract partners. Your efforts will ensure that all processes are managed and delivered in strict accordance with Cadent's policies and procedures. Ensure Adherence to Policies : Verify that all activities comply with Cadent's comprehensive policies, procedures, and relevant Safety Management Systems. Your work will be vital in maintaining the integrity and safety of our operations. Provide Onsite Monitoring : Take charge of onsite monitoring, focusing on engineering, technical, and safety matters. Your presence will help ensure that all work is carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to the highest standards. Oversee Multiple Work Streams : Manage and oversee various work streams, ensuring that safety and compliance standards are consistently met across all projects. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. Skills and Experience Qualifications and Experience : Educated or experienced in an engineering discipline, ideally a member of a professional body, with extensive experience in engineering projects. Health and Safety Expertise : Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation and relevant engineering policies, procedures, and safety management. Skills and Collaboration : Proven ability to drive commercial value and enhance safety performance, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experienced in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders within a matrix organization. A full driving license is required.
