Are you an experienced band 5 looking for the next step on your career journey? Or a band 6 looking to further develop your skills? Look no further! An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and innovative Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in our Paediatric team. You will assess, treat and independently manage a specialist caseload with an interesting variety of school-aged children including those with additional needs. You will work with school staff, parents, and a range of professional groups across a variety of settings e.g. mainstream schools, Special Schools, and ALN Resources. Experience of working with children with complex needs would be welcomed. Main duties of the job

We are a highly motivated, friendly team of Speech and Language Therapists and experienced Technical Instructors who work hard to continually improve our services. To complement this, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a desire to participate in service development initiatives. You will be welcomed into both the Mainstream and ALN teams, as well as the wider paediatric team working across Flintshire and Wrexham localities. The department offers a wide range of opportunities for CPD and is committed to providing excellent levels of support and clinical supervision including supervision sessions and in-service training days. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. About us

Qualifications

Recognised qualification degree / equivalent in S Membership of appropriate clinical network group. Other professional or academic qualification which relates to clinical practice. Skills

Significant experience clinically in area of specialism. Experience of clinical leadership. Experience of delivering clinical education in area of specialty. Experience of leading clinical audit. Experience of delivering / supporting practice / service change. Delivering Practice Supervision. Contributing to Student training. Evidence of attendance on specialist short courses and advanced training in relation to clinical specialty. Welsh / English therapy provision. Experience of project management. Experience in leading service development / improvement. Experience in research. Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. £37,898 to £45,637 a year per annum pro rata.
