Job Summary: Kingston and Richmond Foundation Trust is seeking a diligent and organized Pharmacy Stores Assistant to join our Pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the receipt and supply of medicines to dispensaries, wards, and departments, ensuring accurate records are maintained and stock is managed efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Receive and check goods against orders and delivery notes. Process orders from dispensaries and supply wards and departments with stock items. Assess the requirements for medicines on wards and departments as part of the "top-up" service. Ensure correct stock rotation and storage to minimize wastage of medicines. Maintain accurate records, both electronically and in paper copy. Monitor storage conditions and ensure compliance with procedures. Develop effective communication between Pharmacy staff and ward/department staff. Undertake regular stock-takes and investigate discrepancies. Check stock for "out-of-date" materials and ensure proper disposal. Enter all stock transactions through the Pharmacy Computer system. Handle urgent requests via telephone and process transactions promptly. Assist in the induction of new staff and maintain the stores in a tidy state. Qualifications and Experience: GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths. Must have 6 months experience within the role within the last 3 years. Experience in unpacking, checking, and distribution of goods. Computer literate and numerate. Ability to work independently within set boundaries. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Organized and methodical approach to work. Ability to work as part of a team with a cooperative approach. Conscientious and self-motivated to produce high-quality work. Adaptable and flexible approach to work. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. A good level of fitness is required due to the level of manual handling involved.
