Qualifications and Skills: Essential 4 Years proven experience as a technician within the motor trade Full UK Driving Licence Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance Desirable DVSA accreditation as an MOT Tester Proven experience as an MOT Tester in a reputable automotive service facility In-depth knowledge of current MOT testing regulations and procedures Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork Effective communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team A commitment to ongoing professional development Basic computer literacy Proven experience in a variety of vehicle types and models Strong time management skills Adaptability to handle a diverse range of vehicles A commitment to upholding ethical standards Strong interpersonal skills Role responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive MOT Tests: Perform thorough MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations Utilise state-of-the-art testing equipment Detailed vehicle inspections: Conduct detailed inspections to identify defects Use diagnostic skills to articulate identified problems Accurate documentation: Complete all required paperwork with precision Maintain meticulous records of tests and inspections Stay informed on regulations: Keep abreast of changes in MOT testing procedures Proactively share knowledge with team members Equipment maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance of testing equipment Report any issues with equipment promptly Customer service excellence: Provide exceptional customer service Offer guidance on recommended repairs Team collaboration: Collaborate with other team members Maintain a clean and organised work environment What is in it for you?
