We are looking for a Product Delivery Scientist to join us during our busy spring survey season and would be working principally on the Great Crested Newt eDNA team, following a standardised protocol to analyse water samples. It will be very busy work at times and a high level of attention to detail is vital.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in processing client samples for Great Crested Newt eDNA service (centrifugation, DNA extraction & qPCR following a strict protocol) Liaise with GCN Lead, senior scientists and lab manager Keep detailed and meticulous records Assist with other laboratory work where required Keep detailed laboratory notes following our standard procedures Follow internal protocol for sample tracking & documentation Collaborate closely with other members of the laboratory team, and maintain ongoing communication to ensure efficient planning and prioritisation of tasks. Keep Lab manager informed on laboratory matters, including stock levels.

About you

No specific level of education is required, but you must have at experience working in a molecular laboratory in either an academic or industry setting.

Proven track record in molecular laboratory work (in academic, commercial or clinical settings) Familiarity with laboratory health and safety procedures Excellent attention-to-detail Team player with proactive attitude Organised & meticulous. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Willing to follow established protocols
