Main Purpose of the role The L&D Specialist acts as the SME for developing traditional and digital learning solutions and ensures effective coordination, delivery and impact evaluation of training across EMEA. The role primarily focuses on: Designing, implementing, and managing impactful digital learning initiatives Scoping learning needs and managing the instructional design cycle for their projects Supporting the development of blended functional learning paths Maintaining and optimising the recently implemented LXP Coordinating the operational and administrative aspects of learning delivery. Primary Responsibilities Learning Design and Delivery Develop comprehensive training scopes that include objectives, outcomes, timelines, and delivery methods. Design engaging, outcome-based learning programmes that align with scoped needs. Develop e-learning content and ensure seamless integration into the LXP. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create accurate and relevant learning materials (traditional or digital). LXP Management and Optimisation Manage and maintain the organisation’s LXP, ensuring it is user-friendly and up-to-date. Develop and implement strategies to maximise the potential of the LXP for employee engagement and learning impact. Regularly audit and organise LXP content to align with organisational priorities. Develop in partnership with key stakeholders, the content library within the platform. Monitor platform performance, resolve issues, and liaise with the LXP vendor for technical support. Learning Coordination Maintain up to date digital training material within core learning paths. Schedule and coordinate training programmes, including room bookings, invites, and participant lists. Track training attendance, completion, and results, maintaining accurate records in the LXP/LMS. Manage vendor relationships and external training logistics when needed. Data Management and Insights Develop reports/dashboards for the L&D team and stakeholders to share insights on training performance. Support the preparation of talent data from the performance management cycle (appraisals and check-ins) and skills framework assessments. Use data to evaluate the impact of core learning programmes on business results. L&D Project Support Support the L&D team on various projects as required (current projects include skills framework development and launch, management and leadership training, creation of functional learning paths). What skills are we looking for? To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience in managing and maintaining an LXP or similar platform, designing and implementing learning programmes, including e-learning content in e-learning authoring tools (particularly the Articulate suite), proficiency in data extraction, manipulation, and reporting using Excel, designing learning scopes and developing outcome-based training programmes, experience in training vendor management, knowledge of project coordination and stakeholder collaboration in L&D, and organisational skills for managing scheduling and programme coordination. The ideal candidate must have a proactive, positive ‘can-do’ attitude, be adaptable and resilient to change, self-motivated with high energy, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and have the ability to generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo while maintaining a realistic understanding of company requirements and the pace of change within the business environment.
