What you’ll be doing as a Construction Assurance Engineer: Supporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them. Carry out health and safety audits to ensure relevant issues are corrected. Focus on the construction phase of wastewater projects, assessing and reporting project progress, acting to rectify issues, and leading the escalation process if necessary. Ensure all non-conformance is identified and corrected. Manage, identify, and resolve snags, liaising with Operators and contractors after the takeover to handle defects, the aftercare process, and performance testing. Monitor, agree on, and approve Takeover tests with the project team. Ensure that the required project documentation meets our specifications and that the information for taking over is approved. Work as an active member of one or more project teams with one or more of our contractors. Working conditions: Hybrid – Oxford Sewage Treatment Works. As part of this role, you must be on site 3-4 days a week, 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate must drive and have a car - this role comes with a car allowance of £4,500 a year. What you should bring to the role: HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or background in a similar role. Knowledge of health and safety on construction sites or an SMSTS qualification can be offered as part of the role if the holder does not currently hold it. Understanding of design, construction, and operations within industries like the wastewater sector. A background in project delivery and integration within the construction sector. Confidence in communicating with various levels of stakeholders. What’s in it for you? Competitive salary from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum.
