We are excited to announce a new physiotherapy practitioner role on the orthopaedic ward. You will be working with experienced physiotherapists assessing and treating patients, giving out equipment where necessary and managing your own caseload. As part of this, the orthopaedic physiotherapy team are committed to providing first rate patient care with a proactive MDT. If you: Are a physiotherapy technician with hospital inpatient experience Wish to work as part of the physiotherapy Orthopaedic team Are interested in the assessment, rehabilitation and onward signposting and referral of patients following admission to the orthopaedic wards. Are excited to manage your own caseload, treating non-complex patients independently. Keen to help develop and supervise a member of staff in the team at band 2-3 level Main duties of the job
To work under indirect supervision of a physiotherapist in providing a high standard service to the orthopaedic in-patients on the Elective ward. Work closely with the orthopaedic physiotherapy and occupational therapy teams to provide assessment, treatment, equipment provision and onward referral to elective orthopaedic patients. To work flexibly, including taking part in weekend working on a rostered basis.
