£53,928 What you’ll be doing: Supporting all Commercial activity associated with product and service provision to various customers, including UK MOD, international governments, and third-party defence suppliers Providing Commercial support to meet the objectives of the Integrated Delivery Team (IDT) Ensuring all Commercial activity is completed professionally, aligning with Commercial Delegation of Authority and BAE Systems Operational Framework Influencing, reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and finalising complex bids, proposals, contracts, and other commercial agreements Tracking assumptions, dependencies, and exclusions to ensure value is maintained between bid and on-contract activities Providing Commercial skills and support to internal customers and the Procurement function, particularly in negotiating Supply Chain Contracts and resolving disputes Your skills and experiences: Essential: Good Commercial awareness Prior preparation of robust bid approval documentation, and possesses a good understanding of the financial considerations in bids and contracts Knowledge of UK procurement legislations Ability to travel to other sites within the UK regularly Desirable: Experience of working with UK MOD and/or defence suppliers Risk and opportunity identification management Legal/Financial awareness Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The BAE Systems Land Munitions UK MOD Commercial team: An exciting opportunity for you to join our team on the Next Generation Munitions Solution (NGMS) contract. Reporting into the Senior Commercial Manager and working alongside other Senior Commercial Officer and Commercial Officers you will play a key role in securing the UK’s future within the munitions industry. You will be supporting the Commercial Export team with all export opportunities for light munitions and medium calibre products, allowing you to build and develop export controls knowledge as you work. This role offers you the chance to gain exposure and network as you work closely with internal Programme Managers and with our external customers such as the UK MOD. Why BAE Systems?
