Head of Design
to join a leading
main contractor
specializing in modular builds. This is a contract role, based on a landmark
60 million modular hotel project
in Shoreditch. The Role As the Head of Design, you will: Lead the
design function
for the project, ensuring all design aspects meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements. Manage and mentor a team of Design Managers, providing guidance and fostering collaboration. Report directly to the
Operations Director , providing updates on design progress and addressing challenges effectively. Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment. Oversee design coordination to support the successful delivery of this modular hotel project on time and to the highest standards. About You We are looking for someone who: Has proven experience in a leadership role within design management, ideally in modular construction projects. Is
detail–oriented
with strong organizational and analytical skills. Excels in communication and stakeholder management, fostering productive relationships internally and externally. Thrives in a fast–paced environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and overcome challenges effectively.
