The primary goal of this position is to manage the accounting for a portfolio of entities, ensuring efficient day-to-day management accounting processes. Additionally, you will provide essential commercial support to stakeholders, helping to enhance financial efficiency and drive strategic growth across the group. You will be responsible for: Post and reconcile bank transactions, reporting balances to the Leadership team. Generate sales invoices for projects upon receipt of payment certificates, ensuring correct application of retentions and VAT. Check staff expense submissions. Update the cash flow forecast with actual figures. Reconcile balance sheets. Produce management accounts in collaboration with the Finance Manager. Prepare VAT returns. Assist the Financial Controller with cash flow and P&L forecasts. Identify and suggest improvements for weaknesses in accounting systems and processes. Build strong relationships with colleagues to understand and meet business requirements. Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date information. Promote and demonstrate behaviours supporting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, treating all stakeholders with dignity and respect. Undertake company projects, staying updated on relevant changes and developments. Share best practices and encourage continuous improvement and innovation. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, processes, and tools.
