We're looking for a driven and well-organised Corporate Communications and Media Manager to join our international Communications team in London. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an experienced corporate comms manager, media manager, or an ex-journalist with a love for corporate comms. About the role The Communications and Media Manager plays a pivotal role in further strengthening our profile and our narrative, and that of our CEO and other key players in our organisation. Your focus will be on media, so you'll increase our presence in relevant media including broadcast and podcasts. You'll also profile us and our leadership on social media, through speaking slots at events, and through any other opportunities. Your main objective will be to proactively strengthen Climate Group's profile through our presence in relevant media, on digital platforms and at events, ensuring our impact is widely seen and recognised by relevant audiences. You'll have an 'always on' mindset, always looking for opportunities to highlight our vast expertise and impact. You will be central in the coordination of our media work in our campaigns, our narrative across our work, as well as overseeing and finetuning our media monitoring and reporting. The role reports to the Director of Programme and Corporate Comms, in the international Communications team. Key responsibilities will include: Leading our strategic media work; further strengthening our relations with (inter)national journalists, broadcasters and podcasters, our targeted media presence and our impact. Strengthen the profile of Climate Group, its CEO, its Board and the wider EMT through media and social media presence and through other strategic profiling opportunities such as events and speaking opportunities. Briefing senior management ahead of media interviews and major speaking opportunities. Writing thought leadership content including speeches, op-eds, social media posts, blogs and other site content, and podcast content. Ensuring Climate Group has a consistent and engaging external narrative, that shines through across our platforms and campaigns. Monitoring external impact and reputation and supporting with issues management. Supporting and sometimes driving our external comms work around our flagship events and campaigns. Vigorously plan to maximise the comms success of major pieces of work, including reports, briefings and events. About you Essential: A good network among relevant media and journalists. Proven success in developing and delivering impactful, integrated media strategies. Proven success in corporate comms, and profiling organisations and its leadership across (social) platforms. A dynamic, flexible and diplomatic professional with the ability to drive through ideas in complex networks. An international and 'always on' mindset with a good understanding of comms campaigns. Able to balance strategic thinking and development with implementing ideas. Desirable: Experience in working with businesses as well as NGOs. Good understanding of geopolitical trends, especially in Asia and the EU. Fluent in English, other languages are desirable. Willingness to travel occasionally. Where you'll work Based in our London office, near the iconic Tower Bridge, you'll enjoy a flexible hybrid working arrangement - three days in the office, two days from home each week. Our office is designed to support both collaborative work and focused individual time. It includes accessible facilities, a well-equipped gym, secure bike storage, and showers. Occasional international travel can be required. The nature of the role also requires working flexible hours when required to support events and announcements across international time zones. What we offer This is a permanent position. The salary offered is £41,000 to £44,000 per annum, based on experience. Many of our people work flexibly in different ways, including part-time.
