Ward 15 is looking for an experienced nurse who is wanting to progress in their nursing career. Ward 15 is a 31 bedded mixed sex Acute Respiratory Medical ward. The successful candidate will be able to confidently manage and provide inspirational leadership and encourage good communication through MDT working to improve patient experience and reduce length of stay. The successful candidate will be supported to gain the necessary managerial skills to fulfil the role, supported by the band 7. We encourage the sharing of ideas and different approaches in order to improve patient care. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continuous development of the ward and enhance patient-centred care. Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting and monitoring of standards. The post holder will support in the management responsibility for a nursing team and will have specific responsibility for providing professional support and specialist nursing advice. The post holder will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care and will be designated to take charge of the ward on a regular basis. Working for our organisation

Education and qualifications

Registered Nurse with 24 months experience Evidence of ongoing professional development Assessor training Skills, abilities and competence

Ability to lead and work effectively within a team Experience of Acute medicine/Hospital ward setting Constraints

Ability to work flexibly to cover the needs of the service across the full shift pattern including night duty, weekends and bank holidays The
