I am looking for someone with proven leadership experience in IT, specifically in virtualisation and storage. A strong understanding of compute, networking, storage, and security principles is essential. Extensive experience with Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) technologies, cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, and familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages are preferred. Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Relevant certifications (such as VCP, Azure Administrator, or Red Hat) and a degree or equivalent work experience are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Lead the storage and virtualisation team to design, implement, and manage solutions across various platforms, including VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, NAS, SAN, Azure, and AWS. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team. Develop a strategic plan for virtualisation that aligns with our IT strategy. Manage budgets for hardware, software, and training. Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of on-premise and off-premise solutions. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop appropriate solutions. Stay updated with the latest IT trends. Manage environment performance and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Secure our infrastructure while maintaining availability.
