Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities: Travel to client locations both within the UK and internationally to conduct surveys, installations, and commissioning tasks. Collect necessary data to design tailored engineering solutions. Create and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD, ensuring proper revision control and documentation. Generate and specify Bill of Materials (BOM) to facilitate the creation of purchase orders. Assist with testing and troubleshooting control panels. Gather relevant details to help compile installation manuals for clients. Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and engineers to ensure systems and equipment meet project specifications. Oversee contractors on-site, acting as the primary contact during installations. Comply with health, safety, and quality management procedures and policies. The Candidate: Possess relevant qualifications in Engineering. Proficient in using AutoCAD software. Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers. Organisational abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet project deadlines. Adaptable to changes in scheduling requirements. Committed to delivering high-quality work and ensuring projects meet satisfactory standards. PLC and HMI awareness. Strong team collaboration skills. Effective problem-solving capabilities. Competent in using basic Microsoft Office applications.
