About the role:

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will:

Assist the Commercial Manager in overseeing/mentoring the Quantity Surveyors and assistant QS', ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency, whilst looking at the company objectives. Provide commercial leadership and guidance on projects to ensure cost-effective delivery within budget. Prepare and analyse cost reports, offering regular updates to the project team and stakeholders. Implement cost control and value management strategies. Prepare monthly forecasts, CVRs, and Profit & Loss statements. Oversee the commercial aspects of projects. Manage cash flow effectively. Handle subcontractor payments. Offer expertise on contractual issues.

About the benefits and rewards:

The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of £75,000 to £90,000. In addition to the basic salary, there will be benefits including travel/car allowance, Pension, and health, as well as long-term career prospects and progression.

About the requirements:

Candidates must possess extensive industry experience. They should possess effective management and motivational skills to lead their team successfully. Contractual knowledge is crucial to identify risks and opportunities with clients and subcontractors, as well as the ability to plan and manage construction works, identifying key interfaces, risks, and opportunities throughout the process.
