Our Client is a leading engineering business based in Humberside. The company currently require a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join the business.
It is the responsibility of the Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of defined engineering tasks for different projects to the highest standards complying with legal obligations and client statement of requirements. In addition, the role involves supporting the development of proposals for new business opportunities, provision of consultancy services and deputy line management responsibilities of the team.
Specific Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required. Experience of electrical engineering within chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas, and power generation industries. Knowledge of designing HV systems. Experience of designing LV systems. Working knowledge and experience of electrical design standards and legislation Experience of hazardous area equipment selection and installation design requirements including relevant standards. Experience in the specification, modelling, design, purchase, installation and commissioning of electrical systems. Responsible For
Where required perform the role of ‘Lead Engineer’ for appropriate projects in line with the scope of work and as-sold budgets. Support resource management within the Electrical Discipline. Providing inputs to recruitment and also conducting performance reviews for staff personnel. Assessing competence within the electrical discipline. Support Design Assurance for Electrical discipline. Provide on-going technical support to projects and team. Provide technical expertise for the specification, design, purchase, installation and commissioning of electrical systems. Produce, review and understand associated documentation relating to the design, installation and operation of electrical systems. Analyse data, troubleshoot performance, conduct root cause analysis and make recommendations to improve electrical issues. Carry out discipline audits ensuring full compliance with quality procedures within electrical discipline. To portray the position of Senior Electrical Engineer in a positive and professional manner.
