Clinical Orthopaedic Fellow in Elbow/Shoulder Surgery Applications are invited for the above post commencing from 6 August 2025. The Orthopaedic and Trauma Department is based in the two Major Teaching Hospitals in the City of Cardiff, the Capital of Wales. The post is attached to the Cardiff Upper Limb Team at the University Hospital Llandough and serves a local population of 500,000 and provides a tertiary referral service for a population of 1.5 million. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will gain experience in Elbow/Shoulder replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in ongoing research projects together with specific research. The Post Holder will be expected to work at specialist Registrar level and will participate in the specialist Registrar on-call rota at Llandough Hospital. About us

Qualification

MBBS or equivalent Training in Radiation Protection or agreement to attend the next available course FRCS (Tr & Orth) completed Intercalated Degree MSc or PhD Academic Excellence Previous Experience

Registrar Training programme or equivalent completed Interest in Shoulder/Elbow Surgery Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

Effective communication skills - Verbal and written Up to date with current medical practices Audit Teaching Disclosure and Barring Service Check
