The Firm: We are working with a small yet successful north east accountancy and tax firm who are looking to appoint an experienced Tax Advisory Manager in the Newcastle area to support the existing Partners with their advisory portfolios and compliance oversight. The Brief: Working in close collaboration with the Partners we are seeking a technically strong tax professional who is able to provide their knowledge across mixed tax (personal or corporate only, would also be fine) to a varied portfolio. The position is not heavily business development orientated, work is plentiful, however being comfortable following up on leads is expected. The Role: With a large portfolio of planning work the role has the flexibility to accommodate those with either corporate and / or private client experience, alternatively a mix of the two can offer the post holder plenty of varied work. Depending upon your skill set planning and advisory work can include: Inheritance Tax planning Capital Gains Tax planning Family Investment Companies / Trusts Succession Planning, MBO’s / MBI’s Business structures and restructuring HMRC clearances Business sales and acquisitions / Business Valuations Profit extraction – OMBs R&D claims Tax advice to Executors regarding Estates Share incentives – EMI/CSOP HMRC disclosures SDLT advice Experience required: The suitable candidate will be qualified either CTA and or ACA with current planning experience gained within the profession. An understanding of working with SME and OMB’s is essential as is your strong natural ability to form trusting relationships with your client portfolio. This is a small practice and the role is less about KPI’s and much more about delivering a quality level of customer service so your communication skills are key. We are looking for an individual passionate about tax and working with local businesses on their tax affairs.
