As part of the FP&A team within Commercial Finance you will gain unique end-to-end visibility of Trainline’s group financial picture. You will support the team to deepen understanding of finance performance, helping to drive the next stage of Trainline’s growth across the UK & Continental Europe. Working closely with the Senior FP&A Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the business through the annual budget and in-year forecasts, consolidating inputs and delivering insights that bring the numbers to life for stakeholders across finance. We’re looking for creative big thinkers with small egos and a proactive, can-do attitude. You’ll be a part-qualified accountant and have a strong academic track record. You may have previous experience within a digital, e-commerce or technology environment or be looking for your first role in this industry – we care less about the background and more about your ability to work with pace and energy within a fast-moving, growth environment. Responsibilities Budgeting & Forecasting

Support the team in delivering the annual budget & in-year forecasts, ensuring accurate group consolidation and insightful summaries to help tell the story.

Reporting

Assist with reporting on delivery of performance against the plan, working with the team to understand key variances to inform forecast updates. Support the preparation and timely delivery of the monthly Board performance deck. Maintain reporting workbooks, proactively identifying process improvements and automation opportunities.

Anaplan

Supported by training, become an Anaplan champion within Commercial Finance (like the rest of the FP&A team). Support the team in building bespoke, automated reports to enhance forecasting capabilities.

Ad hoc projects

Support in ad-hoc projects; showing a willingness to support the wider Commercial Finance team.

This is a truly career-defining role for someone passionate about the commercial side of Finance looking for an opportunity to play an important part in a highly rated team. In return for your hard work, we’ll provide you with lots of opportunities for progression and support you to study towards your accounting qualification as you play your part in disrupting and defining a product that is changing the way we travel and inspiring millions of people all over the world to make more environmentally sustainable travel choices every day. Qualifications

A team player who will work for the success of Trainline. Willingness to get stuck in with a “roll your sleeves up” attitude. Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent). Strong degree or equivalent. Analytical, inquisitive mindset with strong commercial acumen. Highly organised, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with stakeholders. Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly and effectively to the senior team. Good Excel skills; and knowledge of the Office suite. Experience in Anaplan, or a similar tool, is a bonus but not essential. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Additional Information
