Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join a great client whilst they transition onto a new system on a 6-month fixed term contract in Gloucester. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company by preparing accurate and timely financial reports, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting:

Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance and variances.

Cost Analysis:

Analyze costs and expenses to provide detailed reports to management, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Variance Analysis:

Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, highlighting key drivers of financial performance.

Month-End Processes:

Support month-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.

Financial Compliance:

Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Financial Systems:

Utilize financial systems and software to maintain accurate records and generate reports.

Ad-Hoc Reporting:

Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by management or other stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications: Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA qualification preferred.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.

Team Player:

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.

Time Management:

Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
