We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Category & Customer Marketing to lead the charge in developing insight-driven strategies, championing category growth, and driving customer-focused excellence. This pivotal role sits within the senior leadership team, offering the opportunity to influence decision-making, build relationships with top-tier UK and Ireland grocery channels, and contribute to transformative business growth.
The Role
As Head of Category & Customer Marketing, you will:
Shape the Category Vision: Lead the creation of compelling, insight-driven category growth strategies, ensuring alignment with business, customer, and consumer needs.
Champion Shopper Excellence: Deliver standout shopper activation plans, shelf excellence, and omni-channel strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive penetration.
Drive Internal Planning: Coordinate the annual business planning process across key teams (sales, marketing, supply chain, finance) to craft compelling internal budgets and external growth strategies.
Lead and Inspire a Team: Manage and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
What We're Looking For
To excel in this role, you'll bring:
A proven track record in Category Management and Category Strategy within FMCG (minimum 3 years), ideally in the food and beverage sector.
Demonstrated experience with RGM principles and data-driven insight tools (Nielsen, Kantar, Circana, etc.).
Strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and commercial acumen.
A deep understanding of UK grocery, convenience, and eCommerce channels.
Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
A growth mindset, a solution-focused approach, and a passion for challenging the status quo.
