Fresh People are currently looking to recruit a Farm Manager for our client based in Canterbury, Kent. As Farm Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Head of Farms to achieve business objectives and ensure the smooth running of the farm operations.

The Candidate:

This position is suited to someone with a minimum of 5 years of farm management experience and a proven track record in leading teams and driving operational success. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of agricultural practices, IT literacy and experience using data systems to support decision-making and reporting.

Key Accountabilities: Leading a team of full-time and seasonal workers, ensuring efficient allocation of tasks and adherence to performance targets. Overseeing and maintaining farm machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operations. Managing payroll, HR data collection, and farm performance reporting. Monitoring and managing employee performance while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Analysing farm data and implementing strategies to improve productivity, sustainability, and overall efficiency. Working closely with the Head of Farms to identify and implement improvements to operational practices and processes. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining high standards of operational excellence.

This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring strong organisational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
