The role As a Learning and Development Administrator, you will work with a small, close-knit and friendly team to help deliver an efficient and effective Learning and Development (L&D) service across the NAO. You will be the ‘go to person’ for our colleagues, internal trainers, and external training providers on all things related to learning and development. You will be responsible for the setup and coordination of all learning events and activities. You will also work alongside colleagues on all associated learning and development data inputting, reporting, and evaluation. Additionally, you will support the team by coordinating meetings and managing our team’s administration. You will have a high level of autonomy over your work and be able to work flexibly.

Responsibilities Plan, organise and bring structure to all L&D formal learning activities, a core part of the role. This includes preparing materials for courses, booking rooms and trainers, setting up courses in our Learning Management System, uploading materials, issuing joining instructions, responding to course queries, monitoring enrolments, completing pre and post-course work, and generating attendance and evaluation reports. Administration of classroom and remote-based learning to ensure trainers, the (virtual) room, IT equipment, Video Conferencing, and course materials are set up for the start of each course. Provide support to the L&D team, such as setting up meetings, preparing agenda items, organising activities, and minute taking and actions for team meetings. Act as the primary liaison point for L&D queries into the L&D mailbox and manage the L&D calendar. Ensure that all items are logged and actions are assigned to relevant people and tracked to ensure response deadlines are met. Ensure the L&D team are kept informed so that timely decisions can be made. Act in a professional, friendly manner, providing prompt and accurate responses to enquiries. Help create excitement and a ‘buzz’ about learning and development at the NAO. Using our Learning Management System, input, maintain and report on learning data. Ensure L&D information on our intranet is current and updated regularly. Ensure all L&D materials are up-to-date and ready for scheduled activities.

Excellent work ethic, self-driven, and persistent. Takes the initiative. Looks for ways to improve systems and processes. Friendly, collaborative, and confident. Comfortable with technology- with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to pick up and use new systems (for example Financial Force and Thrive). Impeccable attention to detail, particularly when inputting data to our systems. Ability to explain and converse verbally and in writing, fluently, appropriately, and effectively. Ability to present data clearly and concisely. Preferred background in providing admin support to a Learning and Development function. Strong customer service skills and ability to build good business relationships.
