Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour Shifts: Early, late and Long days shifts available Company Description The Lighthouse is a 5-bedded residential home for females aged 13-18. The Lighthouse provides a unique package of care and supports 24 hours a day and 365 days a year for young people within our care system. This provision is part of Priory’s transitional living services for young people requiring support with risk-taking behaviours, offering the best possible care in their recovery journey. The Lighthouse is a large detached house near Stroud Town Centre. We provide a high ratio of care, which enables a robust and proactive approach to risk management while supporting people to engage with meaningful activity in the community. Our roles can be full or part-time with a variety of shift patterns available, including weekdays and weekends. Job Description Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK. Your positive attitude and passion for providing high-quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient, and positive approach to work. You will provide support with day-to-day activities while encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference in their lives. You will have gained experience in a similar setting, supervising and leading others. While a formal qualification is not required, you should be willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Team leadership and management with Priory. Responsibilities Encouraging people to live as independently as possible while supporting them in building their life skills and achieving goals at their own pace. Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings, and support your peers with their performance and professional development. Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership. Assist with the management of site petty cash and client funds. Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating, and personal care. Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes. Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movement of individuals. Assistance and support to attend medical appointments, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff. Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams. Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth. Disclosure All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
