Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), with a specific focus on ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. Responsibilities: Lead Interventions: Implement targeted interventions, including phonics (RWI), speech and language, and other customized programs to address the unique needs of students.
Collaboration: Work with teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to execute and tailor strategies that cater to the distinctive requirements of students.
Individual and Group Support: Provide personalized one-to-one and small group support to students spanning Year 1 to Year 6, ensuring effective addressing of each child’s educational needs.
Creating a Positive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that nurtures the well-being and development of children with diverse needs.
Requirements: Experience: Demonstrate prior experience in educational settings, focusing on interventions, particularly in phonics (RWI) and speech and language.
SEND Experience: Exhibit proven experience in working with children facing Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
SEND Training: Having completed SEND training is advantageous, enhancing knowledge and skills in supporting children with diverse needs.
Commitment: Demonstrate a commitment to long-term, full-time work from Monday to Friday, showcasing dedication to the educational development of students.
