INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY 1 x 36 hours, 39 weeks per year, Fixed Term until 10 August 2025 Deans Community High School is seeking an Advanced Pupil Support Worker to join the support team in the school. The post holder will work as part of the school team to support learning and teaching. Under teachers' direction, they will work within the learning environment to support pupil learning, organize resources to support learning, and carry out duties relating to pupil pastoral support, care, and welfare. They will promote an ethos of achievement through the development of positive working relationships and will have due regard for the health and safety of the young people they are working with. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulates that you must submit your application within three months of your start date. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
