This is a fantastic opportunity to continue and develop your childcare career at this lovely setting, located in Benfleet. Our usual working hours are school term-time 38 weeks a year between 08:00-15.30 Mon-Fri. We require someone for a minimum of 20 hours a week with overtime available. Key Responsibilities:

Work as part of a team to maintain a positive, safe and engaging environment whilst providing the highest level of care for all children. Support delivery of the curriculum, ensuring all children receive the best opportunities for learning and development. Support children's learning and development both indoors and outdoors with opportunities to explore, be active and be critical thinkers. Build excellent relationships with children, parents/carers and the staff team. Be an effective key person, maintaining accurate and effective observations and planning individually for their key-children. Promote the pre-school values and follow policies & procedures. Help to set up the Pre-school interior and exterior to enable it to be a safe, secure, stimulating and welcoming environment. Actively participate at team meetings, supervision meetings and appraisal meetings. To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for your own development. Essential Skills and Experience:

Must hold a level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and post qualification experience. Dedicated and enthusiastic with a genuine passion to work with children. The ability to work as part of a team and to use own initiative. Good knowledge of the EYFS and relevant experience within an Early Years setting. Good knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection and the wider legislative requirements for working with children. Runnymede Pre-School, was established in June 1966 and has consequently gained a great deal of experience in quality child-care over the years. We are a registered charity and are overseen by a volunteer management committee. We are based in Benfleet near the council offices and leisure centre with easy access and plenty of free parking. We welcome all children aged from 2 until they start school in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. We offer a warm welcome to each individual child and their family with an atmosphere of mutual respect.
