NXTGEN have an exciting Assistant Management Accountant role with a leading UK business based near Diss. Working within an established and high performing finance team, the Assistant Management Accountant will assist with the production of month end management accounts and accompanying commentary for cost centre leaders. You will have the opportunity to provide insights on performance and explain variances, gaining excellent exposure to stakeholders outside of finance. The Assistant Management Accountant will also support with some of the budgeting and forecasting cycles as the business strives for continued financial growth. Within the role you can also expect to have plenty of opportunity to identify improvements to processes with the organisation passionate about continual improvement. Key responsibilities within the role will include: Prepare cost centre reports for stakeholders, detailing insights and explanations for variances Assist with balance sheet preparation, ensuring that all reconciliations are completed with great accuracy Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including ongoing re-forecasts throughout the year Assist with monthly P&L review, working closely with the Finance Manager Review nominal ledgers to ensure all accounting transactions have been tracked accurately. The successful candidate will ideally hold an AAT qualification or will be already progressing with further study (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). You will ideally have previous month end management accounting experience and will be confident liaising directly with cost centre leaders and stakeholders. Candidates will need to be comfortable reviewing and analysing large data sets within Excel with intermediate Excel skills.
