Job description: Salary - £50,960 per annum Based – Stoke Bakery, Mr Kipling manufacturer, ST4 6PH Shift Patten: 4 x 4 shift working (12 hours), 2 days and 2 nights on rotation (42 hour week) Our Mr Kipling bakery in Stoke on Trent has an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their team. The site produces the nations favourite Mr Kipling Cakes such as Cherry Bakewell’s and Angel Slices. You will be part of a team of six, reportig

directly to an Engineering Manager on each shift. You'll be working a shift pattern of 2 x 12 hour days, 2 x 12 hour nights, then 4 off, with some flexibility required as there could be some overtime needed. The salary is £50,960.00 per annum. Proactive maintenance and inspection work AND proactive continuous improvement Exposure to a rich variety of engineering equipment and processes Automation experience; exposure to cutting-edge equipment and machinery A collaborative relationship between engineers and operations Career progression routes – into supervisor and management or cross-functionally Joining a multi-site business that places high emphasis on employee support You will be required to: Advise and assist the design, installation and commissioning of projects and small initiatives Ensure that plant and equipment systems perform to manufacture product efficiently to high quality standards Assist with training and support of non-electrically biased engineers and electrical engineers wishing to improve their knowledge of automated machinery Support the engineering and manufacturing functions ensuring maximum utilisation of engineering equipment in order to achieve KPIs and optimal line efficiency within the company safety, quality & environmental policies Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement, to enhance quality, safety, efficiency and waste reduction Helping to transform the engineering maintenance strategy from a breakdown philosophy to a Right First Time, proactive philosophy What we need from you: Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering for example – Level 3 Electrical/electronic engineering or similar Previous experience of automated manufacturing environments A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings The benefits package for this role includes 18 days’ annual leave, a 7.5% contributory pension, an employee assistance program plus more!
