The Role: We are looking for empathetic and skilled carers to support children and young people in need of consistent care and encouragement. As a carer in our children’s services team, you’ll play a pivotal role in nurturing the well-being, growth, and development of children who may face unique challenges. Your role will include providing emotional support, assisting with daily activities, and fostering a positive, stable environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day care and support to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort. Promote positive behaviors, routines, and social skills. Engage children in age-appropriate activities to support their physical, emotional, and educational development. Maintain open communication with children, families, and other professionals as needed. Document care activities, maintain accurate records, and follow safeguarding protocols. Work collaboratively with team members to create a nurturing environment for each child’s growth and development. Qualifications and Skills: Prior experience working with children, especially those with trauma background, is highly desirable. A compassionate and patient demeanor, with excellent communication skills. Understanding of safeguarding practices and child protection regulations. Ability to manage challenging behaviors calmly and respectfully. Relevant certifications (such as First Aid, Childcare qualifications, or specific training related to the role).
