Role Purpose As part of the Quality and Laboratory team, the role of Quality Systems Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance of the Company’s Quality Assurance System. You will play a key role in the Quality Assurance Team, with safety first, “best in class” expertise and providing an environment that supports continuous improvement to ensure that we achieve our manufacturing and sustainability ambitions. Furthermore, you will work in close collaboration with our production operations, technical teams, associated quality/laboratory functions, sales and account management teams, customers, and external certification bodies to ensure the delivery of a robust quality assurance system. Key Accountabilities Working for the QA Manager (Management Systems) to deliver robust business practices that ensure the Company procedures and processes are adhered to and improved upon in line with requirements for IATF16949, AS9100, ISO9001, ISO17025 or others as defined by the business. Work with internal departments and customers on APQP, PSW and PPAP. Assist in identifying faults within processes/procedures and determining where these have occurred so that they may be rectified. Active involvement in solutions to aid management system performance eg RCA improvements. Gather relevant data on specified operations to monitor performance and where required, produce reports with a view to driving continuous improvement using tools such as SPC, Cpk, Excel, Minitab, PowerBI etc. Assist with developing the IMS IT system to maintain and optimize the QMS/IMS. Ensure that Quality Audits, reports and audits (process, product and system) are prepared, completed on-time and followed-up to ensure timely closure of non-conformances. Ensure that equipment used for measurement and testing is maintained, calibrated and operating safely. Document control – assist with the maintenance of the document control system and assist in developing the documented QMS eg. SOPs, Business procedures, control of external documents etc. Coordinate and assist with Gauge R&R/MSA studies. Work with external departments and customers on quality and improvement matters. Deputy for QA Manager (Management Systems). Experience Desired Appropriate degree qualification or relevant qualifications are essential. Quality assurance practitioner. Quality auditing experience. Experience within automotive / manufacturing environment. Ability to problem solve and deliver factual, concise reports that can be presented to all levels within both this organization and our customers.
