About this Role We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Engineer to join our Engineering Sales Team. In this field-based, customer-facing role, you will be responsible for driving sales across a full portfolio of products and services within process industries such as aerospace, food, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, oil, and gas. As part of the role, you will engage with existing and potential customers, build lasting relationships, and promote a comprehensive range of offerings, including calibration, instrumentation, and control systems. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering background, particularly in electrical engineering, and a sound understanding of process instrumentation and calibration. Experience in selling Control Instrumentation and Automation products within process industries is essential. You should be comfortable working in a field-based role and be willing to travel to meet customers in person. Conduct sales visits to both existing and prospective customers to establish and nurture relationships. Collaborate with direct customers to maximize sales within your defined region. Identify and explore new sales channels and develop opportunities. Manage any conflicts within sales channels to maintain smooth operations. Take a leadership role in securing major customer agreements and sales opportunities. Provide regular sales forecasts and track progress of project sales within your region. Assist with the bidding process for large projects and provide direct support to customers. Offer feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to the marketing team. Work with the marketing team to promote both new and existing products effectively in your region. A valid full driving license, as the role involves extensive travel. Proven experience in selling into process industries, particularly with control instrumentation and automation products. Familiarity with measurement techniques and communication protocols used within process industries. Product knowledge of relevant industry products. Experience with automation products, as well as calibration and inspection services, including DSEAR. NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations or other equivalent qualifications.
