As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be supporting the day-to-day operations, continuous improvement of Softcat's new Azure Data Platform, which supports the Machine Learning Models and reporting to our internal Sales teams About the role As an Azure Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for: Developing, testing, and documenting complex pipelines from a design specification into the Azure Data Platform and enterprise data warehouse Ensuring that agreed standards and tools are utilised to achieve well-engineered outcomes Implementing new data pipelines within the Azure Data Platform, using best practices such as automation, CI/CD wherever possible Assisting with troubleshooting data issues, performance issues, validating result sets, recommending, and implementing process improvements We'd love you to have Strong knowledge of the Azure platform and tooling In-depth SQL Server and TSQL database development experience for on-premise data warehousing workloads Experience designing, coding, testing, and correcting complex SQL/ETL models and scripts Knowledge of data analysis, data modelling and quality assurance techniques Possess the ability to work autonomously and with others, including upskilling colleagues in cloud best practices Work in a way that works for you We recognise that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
