Aspiring Therapist - Full Time - Newbury, West Berkshire Do you want to gain industry experience alongside your studies? Do you want to gain a better understanding of children's development? An amazing specialist education centre in the Newbury area is excited to take on an Aspiring Therapist graduate to join their support staff team on a full-time basis. The specialist educates students with a variety of social, emotional, and mental health needs. As an Aspiring Therapist, you will be supporting students with additional needs, some of whom struggle with challenges related to developmental trauma and neglect. These young people need consistency and patience to help them achieve an education, making this a perfect opportunity for any Aspiring Therapist to see how they can make a difference. Responsibilities: Supporting students on a 1-1 basis, ensuring they maintain focus and stay on task. Working with the classroom teacher to develop tailored lesson plans. Collaborating with dedicated, professional therapists, psychologists, and behavior analysts to ensure students can reach their full potential. The successful candidate will learn effective communication skills, confidence, and how to coach young people through turbulent situations. Details: Location: Newbury, Wiltshire Target Candidates: Psychology Graduates Focus: SEMH education Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30 Salary: £80 to £95 earned daily The ideal candidate should be proactive, empathetic, and confident in their ability to take the initiative to provide high-quality care and support. Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, etc., are encouraged to apply. Experience with SEN/SEMH children and/or adults is desirable but not mandatory.
