Criminal Justice and Hate Crime Advocate

We are looking for a driven person to join the charity's Advocate Team to support members from the Gypsy and Traveller community across West Yorkshire.

Thursday 13th February The Role: You will work across a project with a focus on two areas of support: hate crime and criminal justice. This role will involve working with and supporting individuals and families from Gypsy and Traveller communities who are affected by the criminal justice system and anyone who has previously experienced, or is currently experiencing any form of hate crime. About You: With empathy and interpersonal and relationship-building skills, you will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in stressful situations. You will have the ability to: Support individuals and engage them with relevant services. Build trusting and effective relationships with our members. Remain balanced and nonjudgmental while listening to individuals. Encourage and inspire people to recognise and build on their own strengths. Network and form good working connections with external services and partners across West Yorkshire. Use a computer, including proficiency in the use of word processing and data entry tools.
