£60,000 A Brand New Opportunity for a HVAC Design Manager local to Rochdale. This company specializes & advises on all aspects of design (HVAC focused), focusing on occupied offices, new builds, high security sectors, healthcare, and more. As a HVAC Design Manager you will receive: £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE) £6,000 Car Allowance 20 days holiday + Statutory + 1 day per year’s service up to 25 days total Holiday ‘Buy Back’ scheme Healthcare Scheme after probation Pension Great team, fun working environment Pre-Contract Responsibilities: Manage enquiries/tenders, which may be fully designed by the client team or clean sheet schemes. Cover all commercial and estimating aspects. Prepare M&E tender documents for D&B projects as necessary. Undertake technical review of clients’ documentation and specifications, providing commentary and guidance on risks and complications. Identify Value Engineering Options. Attend client site visits and interviews. Analyze sub-contractor quotations and make recommendations regarding contractor selection. Comment on procurement schedules and installation programmes. Manage/review M&E design process. Manage and review the validation process – clarify the scope of validation. Post Contract Responsibilities: Review final package scope and cost for all MEP works. Assist with final selection of supply chain partners. Assist in the procurement of materials, labour, and services from specialist sub-contractors/consultants. Comment on MEP sub-contractor’s financial variations and final account. Manage new power, gas, water, and telecoms services to site (if applicable). Review & Assist – Technical Design - MEP element of online document control systems. Attend client progress meetings and produce a MEP progress report for inclusion within the PM’s report.
