Your new role This is a Senior Leadership position and part of the Executive Group with a wide range of statutory and corporate responsibilities. You will act as Deputy Monitoring Officer to the Chief Executive. Your role will support them in all statutory and legal requirements. You will have direct line management of 5 managers and their teams. This opportunity holds broad-ranging Risk Management responsibilities, including Operational Risk, Conduct Risk, and Regulatory Risk and all aspects of performance and monitoring. Responsible for managing Health and Safety, Data Protection, response to Legal matters, Business Continuity, all areas of Risk Management, Compliance and Governance. What you'll need to succeed You will have extensive experience and proficiency in governance and compliance, alongside the corporate principles of risk associated with a regulatory framework. You will also have experience of working in a senior level role and be able to demonstrate a high degree of self-initiated ability and make decisions, often at pace. You will ideally have extensive experience working in a public sector organisation, and you will need to be comfortable working within a political environment in the public sector. As a Senior Leader, you will have leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, as well as being committed to change, business improvement, and service delivery. It is essential that you are able to undertake research and write reports to influence others. You will have excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills and be highly professional.
