The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Analyst to join our dynamic Tax team. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance and strategic planning for indirect and direct taxes, focusing on our International operations. You will be responsible for preparing tax filings, managing VAT reclaim efforts, and supporting tax provision and advisory functions. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments to streamline tax processes and provide insights on tax impacts of business initiatives.

Your Impact:

Indirect Tax Compliance and Planning: Prepare all tax filings and coordinate filing internally or with external service providers. Reconcile tax filings to financial statements and resolve differences. Manage VAT reclaim and recovery efforts internally or with external advisors. Participate in technology initiatives to automate and streamline VAT configurations and tax filing migration onto Onesource Indirect Tax Compliance platform. Support Senior Tax Manager of Indirect Tax with identifying VAT impacts of internal business initiatives and restructuring.

Income Tax Compliance and Planning: Prepare tax filing workpapers and coordinate tax return filing with external service providers. Maintain a library of corporate tax payment documentation. Support the U.S. tax team with respect to information required for U.S. income tax return reporting requirements. Monitor all income tax developments including impacts of OECD BEPS initiatives.

Income Tax Provision: Prepare legal entity income tax provision in Onesource Tax Provision on a quarterly and annual basis. Calculate adjustments between US GAAP, local statutory AFS, and income tax law. Prepare and record provision-to-tax return true-ups for all filed income tax returns.

Tax Authority Correspondence: Act as the point of contact for all Italian income tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing queries and correspondence initiated by governmental authorities. Coordinate Deckers' response with Senior Tax Managers and external tax advisors.

Who You Are: Organized, analytical, and methodical with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage and prioritize projects to meet tight deadlines. Ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced culture and constantly changing priorities. Must possess a high degree of curiosity.

We would Love to Hear from People with: Qualified Accountant/Tax Advisor (ACCA, ACA, CTA, or equivalent); part qualified may be considered depending on experience. Tax experience in a public accounting firm OR tax department of a multinational company OR a Large Accountancy Firm. International Tax Experience. Skilled with software applications including experience with Essbase, Onesource Tax Provision is desired.
