Our client in the industrial sector is looking to recruit an experienced HR professional for a newly created HR Business Partner vacancy based in Hexham, North East. The role will report into the HR Manager (who is located overseas) and work closely with the site managers. You will be responsible for overseeing two sites situated within a short driving distance of each other. This is a fantastic opportunity to set up the HR function of an expanding organisation. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the organisation in achieving HR objectives, developing employees and optimising HR processes. You will work closely with executives and managers to provide HR advice and support, with the aim of enabling the organisation to achieve its strategic goals. You play a crucial role in improving HR initiatives and promoting a healthy corporate culture.

Role responsibilities Supporting business leaders and managers in strategic HR issues and translating business goals into HR strategies and initiatives. Guiding managers in the development and implementation of performance management systems. Coordinating and advising on the recruitment processes to ensure the right people are in the right place. Identifying training and development needs and supporting leaders in mentoring their team members. Advising on terms of employment and remuneration structures in line with market developments and organisational policy. Supporting the manager in conducting salary interviews. Guiding managers and employees through changes within the organisation, including organisational restructuring, culture change, and implementing new HR policies. Actively supporting the management of absenteeism, developing absenteeism policy and offering advice on long-term absenteeism issues. Ensuring compliance with labour laws, internal policies, and procedures, and contributing to the implementation of HR policies.

Person Specification Relevant work experience at a senior HR level. Experience of working for an international company. Experience with HR systems is a must. Knowledge of UK legislation. An eye for detail and the ability to work accurately. Proactive and problem-solving attitude, with excellent communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to set up the HR function and have the autonomy to drive improvements. The hours are 40 per week and the salary is £55,000-£60,000 (depending on experience).
