Consulting Engineer – Nuclear Safety

Beyond technical responsibilities, your role may include project management, which includes developing proposals, allocating resources efficiently, and maintaining clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Your role will involve a variety of responsibilities tailored to your expertise and interests, including but not limited to: Working mainly in an expert role related to nuclear safety and licensing. The work may also include technical project management tasks. Providing support to various countries in their new nuclear power projects, including feasibility studies related to site and technology assessment, regulation and licensing support, as well as capacity building. Supporting PRA modelling, PRA applications, Human Reliability Analysis (HRA), and hazard assessment. Supporting other tasks related to nuclear safety and licensing. Participating in Business Development activities. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree or higher from an accredited university in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical engineering (or other similar fields). Relevant experience working in an expert role related to nuclear safety and licensing. Strong English communication and writing skills are a must, given the collaborative nature of our work and the need to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders. A team player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels in a matrix global organization. Experience in managing different projects simultaneously, and handling ambiguities and project uncertainties. Experience in nuclear power plant engineering, nuclear plant systems, licensing, operations, advanced nuclear technologies, and SMRs, or similar technical areas is highly desirable. Knowledge of PRA, HRA, internal and external hazard assessment, safety analyses and assessments, nuclear waste management, and/or decommissioning is an advantage. Project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently, would be advantageous in this role.
