About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Head of Payroll based in Tring, Hertfordshire, with practice. The ideal candidate will be friendly, communicative, and have excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Previous experience of managing or supervising a payroll team
Excellent current, technical payroll knowledge
Experience in using MoneySoft; Xero payroll knowledge beneficial (but not essential)
Record and maintain precise payroll records, calculating and processing payments, deductions, pensions, and benefits, ensuring they are accurately reflected on employees' payslips.
Escalate payroll queries
Processing timesheets, entering the data and dealing with payroll queries efficiently and accurately
Dealing with 50+ annual payrolls
30+ monthly payrolls
1 weekly payroll to run
Experience of processing manual payroll
About the Applicant:
Good organisational, communication, and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to learn new software
Must be competent with MS Excel
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
