We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated cardiac device physiologist/scientist to join our dedicated team. We are looking for candidates with BHRS or IBHRE accreditation and a minimum of three years post BSc (or equivalent) qualification experience. Consideration will be given to Band 6 Clinical Physiologists with clinical experience in cardiology and a proven track record in invasive cardiology. Applicants must be eager to learn and expected to sit for BHRS within the next 12-18 months. Pay scale will adjust to reflect skills and experience, e.g., band 6 while training, moving to band 7 once training is completed. As a local specialist provider, we implant a range of complex devices and perform a wide range of angiography procedures, including left and right heart catheterisation, PCI, IVUS, OCT, and rotablation. An on-call commitment is a key role of this position. You will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of the service and performing a wide range of invasive investigations. Provide a highly specialist clinical technical service in the Cardiac Rhythm Management sections of the department. Assist in the development of the Cardiac Rhythm Management Service. Rotate into the role of device lead; respond to patient/clinician queries, action urgent remote alerts, and discuss complex cases in MDTs. Participate in the on-call rota for the 24/7 primary PCI service. Provide specialist training and supervision of less experienced staff. Ensure effective communication between all Cardiology sections of the department. Work across multiple sites, including the Cardiac Catheter Suite / Clinical Measurement Department at the Royal Derby Hospital and occasionally at Queens Hospital Burton. Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification and experience. Significant postgraduate experience as a Senior Clinical Physiologist. Knowledge and experience of complex/advanced procedures from extensive experience/specialist training courses. Must meet requirements for acceptance on state register. Must hold BSE/HRUK or equivalent. Evidence of leading a small team. Communication

Excellent communication skills with patients, staff, colleagues, GP, and doctors. Education and training skills with experience of training and assessment.
