The Role of the Service Engineer: • Undertake/manage planned preventative and corrective maintenance. • Respond quickly and efficiently to breakdowns. • Routine servicing and inspection of mechanical plant, electrical equipment, and instrumentation within the portfolio. • Fault finding and troubleshooting. • Host & induct specialist sub-contractors and ensure they conform to site requirements. • Ensure service delivery is supplied to the client under contract KPIs. • General housekeeping duties as and when necessary. • Stock Management.

The Ideal Person for the Field Service Engineer: • Skilled Engineer with a HND or above, or qualified time served apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering. • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an industrial environment. • Experience in delivering field service & support. • Experience in troubleshooting customer problems and acting as a point of contact for customer queries. • As a customer-facing member of the team, have the ability to develop constructive relationships with customers/Installers/own team. • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. • Full UK driving licence. • Ability to work as part of a team. • Expected to travel and stay away from home on occasions.
