In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of mechanical engineering projects to clients or internal project teams. Key Responsibilities:

Understand client requirements and aspirations to identify and agree scopes of work. Deliver high quality work to agreed timescales and budgets. Ideally, have good knowledge of at least two of the following rolling stock areas, and the desire and ability to develop your knowledge within other areas:

Bogies and suspension and Wheelsets. Bearings and transmissions and Braking systems and performance. Door systems, Couplers and gangways. Corrosion repairs and fabrication. Engines, Train maintenance and fleet management.

Requirements:

The introduction of new rolling stock through design scrutiny in support of the Certification Body. Cost reduction through component condition assessment and maintenance optimization. Investigation of in-service issues / problem solving. Devising practical repair solutions. Improving system reliability through the review of fault data and recommendation for modifications. Undertake Project Manager roles for projects managed by the Mechanical Systems team. Identify technical, commercial and safety risks associated with projects and ensure these are managed through each project phase. Why work for AtkinsRéalis?
