Job Description

We seek to recruit permanent roadworkers to Falkirk Council Roads Services. As the successful candidate you will be working with the Roads Drainage team undertaking gully maintenance, drainage investigations and repair works and any other associated works. You may also undertake a variety of road maintenance and construction tasks including laying paving slabs and kerbs, concrete and asphalt laying, temporary traffic management including erecting and removing signs, barriers, and cones and other related roads maintenance activities. Applicants for these posts should be able to demonstrate practical knowledge and experience of the works listed above. A high attention to health and safety on site is also required. An SVQ Level 2 in Highway Maintenance or equivalent is desirable. A current driving licence is essential, and a category C licence is desirable as you will be required to use Falkirk Council's vehicles and plant on site.
