Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist/Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth operation of the front desk. This role requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a keen understanding of IT systems to manage appointments and patient records efficiently. Duties Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the practice and assist them with check-in procedures. Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient visits, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time. Maintain accurate patient records and handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, insurance details, and payment options. Assist in managing the flow of patients within the practice, ensuring a comfortable environment for all. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient care and address any concerns that may arise during visits. Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about services offered and addressing patient queries. Skills Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to interacting with individuals in a healthcare setting. Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare environment is advantageous but not essential. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues. IT skills are essential for managing electronic health records and scheduling software effectively. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people, ensuring clarity and understanding at all times.
