Working in a global capacity, within Core Technologies Projects & Tenders (CT P&T) UK, India & APAC and located in Dunfermline, the Senior NDE Engineer will provide the CT P&T in the UK (primarily) with expert knowledge of all aspects of NDE from FEED and Tender through to Project Execution; this includes relevant techniques and their application, client requirements as well as qualification of internal and external manufacturing processes. Job Description

Main Accountabilities Responsible for all NDE requirements within UK projects for SPS and SURF products. This includes specification development, tendering, product qualification, project execution, supplier support as well as support to R&D and SSI activities when required. Work closely with Engineering, Sourcing and Supplier Quality - internally, regionally and globally - in ensuring a lead role in the provision of NDE-related expertise as required including taking a lead role in NDE technical audits and ensuring NDE requirements are developed with and fully understood by suppliers. Work closely with Sourcing and Supplier Quality to ensure that the NDE-related aspects of supplier qualification activities are effectively executed and support continuous development of existing and new NDE techniques at strategic suppliers specific to product supply to TechnipFMC. Take a lead role in NDE-related failure investigation and root cause analysis activities, ensuring they are managed, understood and resolved in a logical and timely manner. Proactively work across the organisation to identify, drive and lead NDE-related improvement projects and opportunities. Skills

Experience in a technical special process-related engineering role. Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Independent body (e.g. PCN) Level 2 certification in at least one volumetric and one surface NDE technique. Software packages – SAP, Microsoft Access, Project, Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Teamwork, open/flexible approach. Independent body Level 3 certification in one or more techniques. Experience in FEED, tender and project execution including interfacing with client and internal project teams. Product Knowledge. Ability to build sustainable relationships, collaborate and partner with all stakeholders. Ability to define NDE-related problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using Lean Process & Product Development (LPPD). Effective collaboration and communication with both internal customers and suppliers as well as working with other disciplines on NDE and related special process requirements and strategies in the supply chain. Develop continuous improvement strategy and processes within Core Technologies for NDE and related special processes. What we offer
