Senior BEMS Consultant

£60k - £70k (depending on experience) We have an exciting opportunity to work for a well-respected and well-known Independent Specialist BEMS and Building Services Systems Consultancy practice. They provide Technical Design, Project Management, and FM Contract Support Services. From work with large end-user clients within various public sectors, local authorities, and NHS Trusts to portfolio management companies. This market leader is focused on utilising Intelligent Systems and Technology to facilitate Energy Optimisation and (carbon) reduction programmes for their clients. They promote innovative Building Energy Management Strategies and solutions, in conjunction with the introduction of Engineering and Networking standards, to provide the correct level of monitoring, control, and systems integration/interoperability for the building services systems and the built environment. They advocate usable and effective operator interfaces and automatic reporting together with a programme of “Building Performance Optimisation and Condition Monitoring” utilising BMS and intelligent systems. Description of Role The BEMS Consultant will be required to work directly with clients to provide a full range of BEMS & System Consultancy services. Either working alone or as part of a wider team, the Consultant will be engaged in conceptual discussions, through feasibility, scheme design, and detailed design, tender and implementation stages, as required by the project brief, ensuring that support and add value to the projects to which they have been assigned. Key responsibilities will include, as required: Conducting System Condition surveys, producing reports and recommendations for clients. Completion of Feasibility Studies, Energy Management Surveys, Specification reviews & evaluation. Providing Application advice to clients. Production of Concept/Scheme designs, performance specifications and detailed design development. Engaged in Tender Management and Tender Vetting on behalf of the client. Production of Cost/Bid analysis. Project Management on behalf of client to include project progress reporting and Contract Administration as applicable. Responsible for Commissioning Management and Snagging on behalf of client. Conduct system witness testing and reporting. Attendance at BMS FATs and SATs. Production of case studies. Review/updating of building energy logbooks. Client systems training. Maintain your personal Continuous Professional Development (CPD); sharing knowledge internally with colleagues and externally with clients. Capture all activity in our customer relationship management (CRM) tool to ensure collaboration and continuity of efforts across the team. The role is based at their Head Office in Surrey and there is a requirement to attend client sites across the UK as required. Key Skills Required

Commercial experience in building services industry (consultancy or contractor) to include installation and testing of control systems and Control system commissioning. Project Management. Strong technical & design skills in Controls, BMS/iBMS. Good numerical skills and attention to detail. Analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at Senior Manager/Director level, architects, M&E contractors, and others. Tact and persuasive ability. Team-working skills. IT skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Self-motivation. Experience

Minimum HNC level related engineering (electrical/mechanical) qualification. Degree in building services engineering or electrical engineering (desirable). Good systems knowledge (e.g. Trend, Tridium, Niagara) gained through industry work experience working for a BMS/Control systems manufacturer, as a contractor or specialist systems integrator or in a similar consultancy role. Building Services Consultancy (desirable). Membership/Accreditation of CIBSE (desirable). Benefits
