are our first pair of glasses that bring augmented reality to life. We're looking for an Optical Simulation Engineer to join the Snap Lab team at Snap Inc! What you’ll do:

Develop simulation models to predict display performance, design new devices with wavelength and sub-wavelength scale structures, evaluate end-to-end system performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive fabrication and improvements. Conduct optical characterization, nanometrology, validation, and troubleshooting to support display development activities. Data analysis and documenting results, procedures and presenting findings to stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Experience with optical simulation methodologies and tool-sets including FDTD, RCWA, ray tracing, etc. Hands-on experience with optical characterization. Ability to thrive with rapidly changing or ambiguous requirements. Shows curiosity and a strong problem-solving ability. Strong documentation and presentation skills. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 4+ years of related work experience. Programming experience in Python or MATLAB. Preferred Qualifications:

PhD or master’s degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 7+ years of related work experience. Background in solid-state physics. Experience with display device physics and/or semiconductor process experience. Experience with cloud computing.
